American Marijuana is looking for cannabis reviewers for $36,0000 a year.
US company American Marijuana is currently looking for reviewers for its (what else?) cannabis-derived line of products. The reviewer will receive a mystery box of products ranging from (but not limited to) various weed strains, edibles, vapes, CBD oils and soaps monthly which will be reviewed in the form of videos and web log posts.
For his/her valiant efforts, if selected, the cannabis reviewer will get to work from home and earn up to $3,000 a month depending on their level of expertise and, um, product knowledge.
“Not” for Potheads
Hold your horses, cowboy. While they have stated that they are looking for someone with an “extensive knowledge of marijuana”, American Marijuana has also indicated that they are not looking for recreational smokers (you do need to operate machinery for that video, after all). To quote from their job application portal:
This job is 100% for real and it’s an important job that includes more than just getting paid to smoke weed. If you think that’s the entire scope of the job, then this might not be for you.
Other applicant requirements for the cannabis reviewer post include: “must live in a state of the U.S. or Canada where medical marijuana is legal, be physically fit, healthy and able to smoke every day and be 18 years old”.
Mixed signals there, chief, eh?

Don’t Bogart Me, Man!
“Being a cannabis reviewer sounds great and all, but how do I know these guys are legit?”. Oh, they’re as real as it gets. American Marijuana has been around since 2014 and was founded by Steven Kubby, who was diagnosed with a pheochromocytoma, a rare form of adrenal cancer, when he was 23 years old, but is still very much alive now – 25 years later – despite his records showing that the cancer has spread to his liver and beyond. His doctors have attributed this to surgery, chemotherapy, a balanced diet and… smoking marijuana. His experience was even instrumental in passing California Proposition 215 – legalizing medical marijuana!
I’d say he definitely looks happy!
Shut up and let me take your money, already!
Interested applicants for the cannabis reviewer post may submit either a headshot or (preferably) a link to a one-minute video discussing their “passion for the position we’re posting”, links to their active social media accounts, a bio/resume and “and at least 6 street names, slang terms, or nicknames of marijuana” and complete the application form HERE
